Jan Kallenbach Taiki & Yi-chuan Kyoshi
founder Shin Bu Ken

Tai Ki Kenpo is an internal wushu style with strong external applications, developed by master Sawai Kenichi from Japan.
It is highly related to Yi-chuan founded by grandmaster Wang Zhang Zhai from China.
Jan Kallenbach is a direct student of headmaster Sawai and the Yi-chuan master Li Yuan Ju from Beijing.
In daily life he works as an associate teacher martial arts at the ALO in Amsterdam.

In the discipline of Taiki we do teach:

a. Yang Sheng Chi-kong…aiming at improving and maintaining our vitality and health,
b. Practice of meditation and mental training…aiming at mental health and alertness,
c. Practice of the application of our waza (techniques) in actual selfdefence situations.

These three main items always will be put forward and that's why our training sessions do know an unique total body-mind concept and an integrated approach and methodology. The approach it self is called 'Body-Mind attitude training'.

We also use the discipline of Tai Chi Chuan Yang style of master Cheng Man Ching. Mastering this form will be of help for our approach and can be seen as a prerequisite on the kenpoka's way to completeness.
