What is Tai-ki-kenpo & Yi-chuan?

Tai-Ki-kenpo or Great Energy Boxing is an oriental martial art developed by the Japanese headmaster Sawai Kenichi. Because of its unique wushu and budo background this kenpo can hardly be compared with other popular fighting arts.

Tai-Ki-kenpo uses the universal and potentionally in all living beings available natural energy called 'yuan-chi'. This energy can only be found and used by getting aware of it and exercising it personally.

Under good guidance one can learn how to develop and use this yuan-chi in order to master it:
* to move finally without hindrances and spontaneously in the Tai-ki way of moving (master moving)
* to stay / become healthy and fit ( Chi kung / Yang sheng kong)
* to be able to defend oneself adequately and be able to fight efficiently (budo and wushu)

Taiki

1. Uses no obligated fixed forms
2. Can be practiced everywhere, but favours outside training in nature near trees
3. Uses the eastern classical concept of teaching and grading (menkyo- system)
4. Students are only accepted on advise or after personal meeting

Tai = great /heavenly, Ki = energy, Kenpo (chuan fa) = (fist-art)
